beginning tatts
1st project:
The 2 hearts are in 30 mm -red and 80 mm -pink threads
Tatted Heart Pattern:
Start R 6 -2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-6 cl ring..
Make 3 large rings just like this Total of 16 picots for each ring
Starting outer heart:
Chain 10-4-4-5 (this will also be the closing chain.)
1 st small R3-3-3 join 5 th picot in first ring. 3-3-3 cl ring
*Ch 4-3-3-4
2 nd small R 3-3-3 join 7 th picot in first ring 3-3-3 cl ring
*ch 4-3-3-4
3 rd small R3-3-3 join to 9th picot in first ring
*ch 4-3-3-4
4 th small R 3-3-3 join to 11th picot in first ring.
For each large ring (only 3) join 4 smaller rings.
Join the 5th, 7th, 9 th and 11th picots for each large ring.
For a total of 12 smaller rings
at the 12th ring cl ring
ch 5-4-4-10
connect to 3 large rings at center lock st cl.
Hide ends
You're finished. these were tatted with tatting Needle #8 but you can use larger based on your thread size.
2nd project:
the beaded earrings on the right are in 80 mm Egyptian gold thread and were going to be a necklace, but as I said beginning pieces I messed up the direction and couldn't change it so I made the earrings. not bad though I think

Earring Pattern:
start R 10 Close Ring
R 4-4-4 close ring (for every picot, add a bead.)
R4 + (join last beaded picot on prev. ring.) -4 - (this picot add 3 beads) 4 -4 close ring.
R4 +(add to last beaded picot prev ring, the larger ring) 4 -4 close ring.
this is a basic pattern, nothing fancy. just a really cute design. if made in Eqyptian gold thread, you can pretty much wear them anywhere.
